If I'm Quiet Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
If I'm Quiet is a personal safety check-in app. It helps you send danger alerts, start safety timers, and ask trusted contacts to check on you if you miss a check-in.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide the safety service:
- Your alert or profile name.
- Trusted-contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses that you choose to enter or select.
- Invite and trusted-contact relationship records.
- Safety check-in details you enter, such as scenario notes, missed-check instructions, travel or work context, and Health Check-In details you choose to provide.
- Location when you allow location access and use an alert or check-in flow that includes location.
- Battery context when available and included in a safety alert.
- Device and push-notification identifiers needed to deliver alerts.
- StoreKit purchase and subscription transaction information needed to validate Quiet Plus.
- Safety-service event and delivery records, such as sessions started, alerts sent, push delivery status, credit use, and subscription validation status.
How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Send safety alerts to active trusted contacts.
- Show safety context to you and your trusted contacts.
- Sync trusted-contact relationships and alert responses.
- Deliver push notifications.
- Validate Quiet Plus purchases and enforce free automatic alert limits.
- Maintain backend reliability, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate service health.
Sharing
We share safety alert information with the trusted contacts you activate in the app. A safety alert may include your name, safety note, check-in context, location when available, battery context when available, and alert status.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising or tracking.
Apple processes App Store purchases and may handle payment information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. If you share an alert using iOS sharing options, the selected sharing service handles that message under its own policies.
Your Choices
You can:
- Decline Contacts access and enter trusted contacts manually.
- Decline Location access. Alerts can still be shared without location.
- Turn notifications on or off in iOS Settings, though automatic alert delivery may depend on notifications.
- Delete trusted contacts or stop checking on someone from inside the app.
- Cancel Quiet Plus from Apple's subscription management screen.
Security
The app uses per-device authentication and stores device secrets in the iOS Keychain. Backend secrets, APNs private keys, and database credentials are not stored in the app.
